A foreigner who wants to live for longer than 90 days in the Czech Republic should apply for a long-term visa or long-term residency. It can be studies, freelancing, family,and other statuses. Applicants can choose if they want to apply for a long-term visa or a long-term residency
An Employee card cannot be a long-term visa. It is always considered a long term Residency
The long-term visa approval deadline is 90 days
A long-term visa is always suggested as the approval is fast + proof of funds can be bank confirmation for all purposes of stay. The long-term visa approval deadline is 90 days
So, it is approved within 90 days, and the visa is valid for a maximum of 365 days. A long-term visa should be registered with foreign police after the collection.
Before it expires, foreigners will UPGRADE it to long-term residency, which will be valid or a maximum of another 2 years.
Long-term residency is not so common, visa approval might take 180 days. Proof of funds should be the spouse’s salary from the Czech Republic for the family reunification for family reunification purposes. So, the family of the applicant cannot apply at the same time as the spouse doesn’t have a Czech income yet.
After the approval of the foreigner, gets a temporary entrance visa under code D V/R with one entrance permission to the Czech Republic and within 60 days should arrange a biometric card at MOI.
