If you’re a UK citizen and plan to stay more than 30 days in the Czech Republic, it’s best to get a temporary residence certificate (called also a Registration certificate). Pexpats arranges the entire process for you.

We take care of all the visits to government offices using a power of attorney. You save your time and avoid bureaucratic hassles. Once your temporary residence certificate’s ready, we come with you to pick it up. Most of our clients have their certificates within 25 days.

Your passport
Proof of your legal accommodation in the Czech Republic - e.g. your rental contract or proof of accommodation form
Two (2) passport ID-sized photos**
Signed power of attorney for our arrangement of your temporary residence ( to be completed at our office)
Your health insurance card***
*This means you won’t have to register with the Czech Foreign Police
**Photos should be in colour and 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm with a white background
***If you don’t have Czech health insurance, we’re happy to arrange it for you

Sign the power of attorney for our arrangement of your residency.
We prepare and lodge your application for you.
Your application’s approved! We book an appointment to collect your residence certificate.
We come with you to pick up your certificate.
Due to Brexit, it is impossible to apply for a temporary residence certificate for EU citizens. But if you are already the holder of this residence permit you will be able to exchange it for a biometric card. Visit our website for more information.
